Art Figures 1/6 scale City Police 12-inch Figure Review II - More Sin City John Hartigan pictures

continued from previous post...

At the start of That Yellow Bastard, Hartigan is "pushing 60." He has a distinguishing cross-shaped scar on his forehead. He is presented as a muscular and imposing man, capable of holding his own in almost any fight. He also suffers from angina, which consistently affects his work, despite his attempts to ignore and fight through it. He is almost always dressed professionally, most commonly wearing an oxford shirt, tie, and dress slacks, along with his signature trenchcoat.

Hartigan possesses a seemingly indomitable will, able to withstand multiple bullet wounds without collapsing, and most notably being capable of willing himself back to life after being hanged. Hartigan has a distinctive way of narrating: he often talks to himself in his head, referring himself as "stupid old man". Who better to play John Hartigan in the 2005 film adaptaion of Frank Miller's "Sin City" than Bruce Willis, the die-hard man :)

Having done the first part review of Art Figures 1/6 scale City Police 12-inch Figure boxed set in the previous post where I mainly covered the box contents and showed the Bruce Willis as John Hartigan 12-inch figure without his signature trench coat, I think it's only right that this toy blog post covers precisely that. Scroll down to see more pictures.

Art-Figures AF009 1/6th scale City Police 12-inch Figure comes with 1/6th scale authentic likeness head sculpt of Bruce Willis as John Hartigan, 12-inch male action figure body, white underpants, blue shirt, blue tie, blue dust coat, dark blue trousers, black belt, black socks, black leather shoes, shoulder holster, Ruger Blackhawk single-action revolver, Walther P22 semi-automatic pistol with suppressor / silencer plus pistol magazine x 2, Auto 9 automatic pistol with 2 pistol magazines, M9 pistol and pistol magazine x 2.

Here's Art Figures 1/6 scale City Police 12-inch Figure aka (also known as) Sin City's John Hartigan wearing his signature attire (sans tie) and armed with the Walther P22 semi-automatic pistol.

His Blackhawk single-action revolver is holstered in his shoulder holster now hidden under the long blue overcoat. That's why I posted pictures of Bruce without the overcoat in the previous post ;p

Some collectors have opted to purchase this Art Figures City Police figure set to use for kitbashing a Gotham City Police Commissioner Jim Gordon using Hot Toys Toy Fairs Exclusive "The Dark Knight" 1/6 Lt. Jim Gordon 12" Figure head sculpt (see my post HERE for pictures)

Douglas Klump (Rick Gomez) is the first character seen with the Beretta 93R Auto 9, aka the RoboCop gun. Hartigan (Bruce Willis) later takes Klump's Auto 9 and kills a cop with it at Roark's farm. It was mentioned in a behind-the-scenes featurette that this particular weapon was used due to writer Frank Miller's involvement in the story for RoboCop 2 and RoboCop 3.

It's nice of Art Figures to include the 1/6 scale Beretta 93R Auto 9 automatic pistol with 2 pistol magazines with this City Police 12-inch Figure set. I liked that Art Figures was generous enough to include FOUR different guns with this set. Two of them (the M9 pistol and the Ruger Blackhawk single-action revolver) were already shown in the previous post.

What follows are close-up pictures of the exceptional Art Figures 1/6 scale City Police 12-inch Figure head sculpt of Bruce Willis as John Hartigan. Who says only Hot Toys can produce realistic life-like head sculpts? Art Figures is giving them a run for their money and as long as they keep releasing such great 12-inch figure sets, I'll keep on supporting them by buying their products :)

Here's a close-up picture of Art Figure's 1/6 scale Walther P22 semi-automatic pistol without the suppressor / silencer attached.

NEXT: Comparing Art Figures 1/6 scale City Police 12-inch Figure with VTS (Virtual ToyS) Stone Cold Killer 12-inch figure. Both are essentially John Hartigan but which figure is better?
