Specially outfitted to withstand bitter arctic climes, Snowtroopers were deployed on many different frozen worlds, but perhaps most notably in the Battle of Hoth where the Imperial Blizzard Force defeated the Alliance to Restore the Republic. In order to protect Snowtroopers against unforgiving climate extremes, they wore a white rugged body suit, to aid in camouflage, but also provide thermal insulation. They were also outfitted with an armored body shell and a unique breather hood built into their facemask that would facilitate breathing in extreme cold and or dangerous atmospheres. Armed with E-11 carbine blasters and thermal detonators, Snowtroopers also commonly employed E-Web heavy repeating blasters in battle.
Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present the newest entry in the Militaries of Star Wars Sixth Scale figure collection, the Snowtrooper 12-inch action figure. Outfitted to withstand the arctic climate of Hoth, the Snowtrooper Sixth Scale figure features detailed armor, accessories, and weaponry.
The Snowtrooper Sixth Scale Figure features: Fully Articulated Prometheus 1.1 body. Cold weather assault gear including: Helmet, Face shield, Armored body shell, Survival backpack. Arm guards, shoulder pauldrons, knee guards and elbow guards. Heavy cold weather boots, Heavy cold weather gloves (multiple poses), Insulated thermal body suit, E-11 Carbine blaster, Thermal detonator, Snow covered display base. The Sideshow Exclusive is a Vintage Blaster Rifle
The Sideshow Exclusive is going to be a Vintage Blaster Rifle. Glad it's not going to be anything really significant.
Despite the fact that the face shield is molded when it could have been made from a much softer more pliable or flexible material and the eyes being a tad too small plus the rather huge hands, I'll most probably be still getting this figure. It is a Star Wars 1/6th scale Imperial Stormtrooper after all ;p
