Credit MUST be given where credit is due :) All credit for these pictures goes to the toy bloggers and toy enthusiasts who were more than willing to share these images on their sites and internet. They are d. martin myatt - cooltoyreview.com, MCW toys and Piziitoys. A big THANK YOU guys for letting those of us who couldn't be there know what was showcased at the San Diego Comic Con 2012 (SDCC2012), the first of many toy fairs to come. These display items / figures will most likely be packed up and shipped to the various Toy Fairs to be showcased. First up: Captain America!
The Hot Toys The Avengers movie 1/6th scale Captain America 12-inch figure is looking mighty FINE :) You'll be mistaken to think that the picture above is a screen grab from the film. It is a photograph taken of the Hot Toys figure on display at the SDCC2012 exhibition booth. Scroll down to see more pictures plus photos taken of the other Hot Toys figures on display as well as their 1/6th scale vehicles.
There's also Hot Toys 1/6th scale Captain America Rescue Version (already previewed HERE)
And a peek at the Hot Toys 1/6th scale Captain America Golden Age version 12-inch figure
As well as the latest 1/6th scale Iron Man Armor suit, the Iron Man Mark VII seen in The Avengers film
Plus the man who is credited for assembling the movie version of the Avengers, Nick Fury (played by Samuel L Jackson) and previewed HERE
With Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye / Clint Barton in The Avengers movie (previewed HERE)
Plus the always HOT Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow (previewed earlier HERE)
And the villains: Tom Hiddleston as Loki in The Avengers movie (previewed HERE)
Plus Hugo Weaving as Red Skull/ Johann Schmidt in the Captain America: The First Avenger movie (previewed HERE)
The last of the Hot Toys Marvel figures seen at SDCC2012 is The Amazing Spider-Man based on the image of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man/ Peter Parker in the movie (previewed HERE)
As for DC Comics, there's the DX12 Batman from The Dark Knight Rises (previewed HERE)
and DX11 The Dark Knight 1/6th scale Heath Ledger JOKER 12-inch figure (previewed HERE)
Not to mention DX10 Terminator 2: Judgment Day 1/6th scale DX T-800 12-inch Collectible Figure of Arnold Schwarzenegger as seen in the movie (previewed HERE)
Where there's Arrnie, Sly cannot be far behind haha Those were the days when these two were pitting against each other to see who was the biggest Action Hero on the big screen. Now they are going to appear side by side in The Expendables 2
A peek at Hot Toys The Expendables 2 Sylvester Stallone as Barney Ross 12-inch Figure.
Wait-a-minute! Hot Toys had already released a 1/6th scale The Expendables Barney Ross Collectible Figure (previewed HERE) so why is this one any different? Plus that's another figure of Barney Ross in civvies which I can only guess this is meant to be a DX Figure (two outfits in one package). That could be a blow to those who already have the first release but then again, I'm speculating so we'll just have to wait and see.
Hot Toys Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - 1/6th scale Naked Snake (Sneaking Suit Version) 12-inch Collectible Figure was also on display (previewed HERE)
And finally, the vehicles. There was the 1/6th scale Tumbler in desert camouflage which will be seen in The Dark Knight Rises driven by Bane. Basically the Batmobile (previewed HERE) seen in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight but now painted in desert beige and brown colors.
And of course, the latest announcement of the Hot Toys 1966 Batman Live-action TV Series 1/6th scale Batmobile (previewed HERE)
To see all the 1/6th scale Bat vehicles Hot Toys has planned to release, check out my previous post where Hot Toys has put all the vehicles together for a group shot :) It's an awesome sight but you'll need to buy a new place just to house them haha
