Sideshow Collectibles Star Wars 1/6 Clone Commander Bacara 12-inch Figure Review 1

Posted on 17:14 by Unknown
Commander Bacara, also known by the numerical designation 1138, was a clone commander who worked alongside General Ki-Adi-Mundi against Separatist droid armies on the Outer Rim planet Mygeeto. Though he fought alongside the Jedi in numerous battles, Bacara's ultimate loyalty was to the Republic and its Supreme Chancellor. When Palpatine contacted him personally and executed Order 66, Bacara carried out the command without question. He and his fellow Galactic Marines opened fire on Ki-Adi-Mundi, killing their general.

This is the recently released Sideshow Collectibles Militaries of Star Wars Sixth Scale Clone Commander Bacara 12-inch Figure. Sideshow is getting good at producing these armor troopers of the Star Wars universe and the clone army is really growing in size figure by figure.

The Sideshow Collectibles Militaries of Star Wars Clone Commander Bacara Sixth Scale Figure features: Modified Phase II Helmet, Articulated Armored Body with over 30 points of articulation, Detailed Fabric Bodysuit, Highly Detailed Full Body Armor Set with Revised Shoulder Pauldron, Fabric Kama Command Skirt, Fabric Chest Pauldron, boots and weapons.

The box packaging for Sideshow's Star Wars 12-inch figure series has become very much standard by now and offers no surprise. Pictures of the 1/6 scale Commander Bacara figure is shown on all four sides of the box packaging held in place by hidden magnets.

Upon opening the box, there's always the tray that holds all the interchangeable gloved hands comprising: One (1) left hand with two finger spread, One (1) left hand with two finger point, One (1) right hand with one finger point, One (1) pair thumbs up hands, One (1) pair C-grip hands, One (1) pair flat palm hands, One (1) pair action boots. Also in this accessories tray are Clone Commander Bacara's 1:6 weapons: BlasTech DC-15S Blaster Carbine, BlasTech DC-15A Long Range Blaster Rifle and One (1) BlasTech DC-17 Pistol

In the main tray lies Clone Commander Bacara Sixth Scale Figure with One (1) pair closed fists, One (1) pair trigger grip hands, One (1) pair standing boots and Lower support extendable figure stand with Star Wars logo

Here's Sideshow Collectibles Militaries of Star Wars Clone Commander Bacara Sixth Scale Figure out of the box with his Modified Phase II Helmet, Articulated Armored Body with over 30 points of articulation, Detailed Fabric Bodysuit, Highly Detailed Full Body Armor Set with Revised Shoulder Pauldron, Fabric Kama Command Skirt, Fabric Chest Pauldron, boots and weapons in hands, namely with the BlasTech DC-15S Blaster Carbine in right hand and BlasTech DC-17 Pistol in his left hand.

Overall, I'm quite happy with this Sideshow Star Wars Commander Bacara 12-inch figure except for the base body they use. The Articulated Armored Body with over 30 points of articulation suffers from weak joints, especially at the ankles and this sixth scale figure just won't stand on his own two feet without the support of a figure stand and you all know how much I dislike putting my figures on stands. It takes away the realism of the figure / pose.

Scroll down for the turnaround views and pictures of this Sideshow Collectibles Star Wars 1/6 scale Clone Commander Bacara 12-inch Figure as seen in the 2005 film "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith"

A little bit of trivia about the number 1138: THX 1138 is a 1971 science fiction film directed by George Lucas in his directorial debut. It stars Robert Duvall and Donald Pleasence and depicts a dystopian future in which the populace is controlled through android police officers and mandatory use of drugs that suppress emotion, including sexual desire. After the film, references to 1138 (and sometimes to THX) are scattered throughout Lucas' films, Lucasfilm productions and LucasArts computer games.

CC-1138 is the numerical designation for Clone Commander Bacara, commander of the Galactic Marines under General Ki-Adi-Mundi in "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith".

In the original 1977 Star Wars film, the prison where Princess Leia is held is referred to as "Cell Block one-one-three-eight". In "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace", 1138 can be seen on the back the droid Jar-Jar hits over the head after they are deactivated on Naboo because of the destruction of the droid control ship. In "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones", when Mace Windu orders a clone pilot to land in an assembly area, 1138 can be seen on the back of the pilot's helmet in LED lights. In "Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi", the number 1138 is inscribed on the side of Boushh's helmet.
